What is Eyebrow Threading?

Using threading as a form of hair removal isn’t one of the most known or used ways to remove hair.

When I thread, it will be for my clients facial hair. The most common areas will be the eyebrows and
upper lip but also the chin, face and forehead.

There are still many people who have not tried or heard of threading as a form of hair removal. The
majority of people tend to think of waxing when deciding to go to a salon but there are benefits to
using threading over waxing.

Why Should I Thread Rather Than Wax?

When having your eyebrows, upper lip or any other facial area threaded, the only thing that will touch your
skin is cotton thread. This means it is very sanitary and as no chemicals are used on the skin there is no
risk of getting a reaction.

Waxing can sometimes remove layers of skin which can prove problematic for some people, especially
those with thin skin.

Threading will remove the finest of hairs easily and will not leave the area as swollen or red as waxing can.
When the hair grows back, generally after 3 – 5 weeks, it begins to grow back finer and finer.

Eyebrow threading is also a great at shaping the eyebrows. As the hairs are pulled, they are plucked at the
follicle level and the thread can remove rows of hairs creating great lines.

How Long Will It Take?

Having your eyebrows threaded and shaped will take around 10 minutes but depends upon the individual. Upper lip, for example, will take around 10 minutes also but this depends upon amount of facial hair.
